I increase the population, but treasury is not getting bigger

You can find the necessary amount of citizens in the Castle menu, on the right page, on the bar with the icon of citizens. The first number on the bar is the amount of the citizens you have at the moment, the second number states the amount of the citizens you need in order to increase the income from treasury.
